Connect an external AI assistant to Tradeways with read-only access to your accounts, trades, journal, and strategies, and disconnect it at any time.

AI assistants

An AI assistant that supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP) can read your Tradeways data when you ask it questions about your trading. The connection is read-only. You approve it once, and you can disconnect it at any time under Settings → Integrations.

This is separate from Oscar, the assistant built into Tradeways, and from API keys, which let external tools write trades into Tradeways.

Connect an assistant

In the assistant, add a custom connector or remote MCP server and enter https://tradeways.app/mcp as its address. Each assistant has its own place for this in its settings.
The assistant opens Tradeways in your browser. Sign in if you are not signed in.
The page reads Connect {assistant} to Tradeways and lists what the assistant will be able to read. Select Allow access to approve, or Cancel to return to the assistant without connecting.

The assistant can read:

All your trading accounts, trades, and performance
Your journal entries and notes
Your strategies

It cannot change anything in your account. It reads data through a fixed set of tools: your accounts and their snapshots, trade queries and analysis, a single trade's snapshot, custom fields, journal entries, and strategies.

If the page shows Unknown application, the request does not come from a supported assistant. If it shows Invalid connection request, the link is missing details. In both cases, start the connection again from the assistant.

Plan and legal acceptance

An assistant can connect with any account, but it can read trading data only while you have a Tradeways plan and have accepted the current legal documents. Otherwise the assistant tells you what to resolve in Tradeways. Choose a plan or accept the documents there, then ask again.

Manage connected assistants

Open Settings → Integrations. The AI assistants section lists every connected assistant with the date it connected. With no connection it reads No AI assistant is connected. Assistants connect through their own settings.

To remove one, select Disconnect on its row and confirm. The assistant loses access to your Tradeways data immediately. Content that was already shared with the assistant is not retrieved.

Privacy

Whatever an assistant reads becomes part of its conversation with you and follows that assistant's own data handling, not Tradeways'. Connect only assistants you trust with your trading and journal data, and disconnect the ones you no longer use.
