Ask Oscar about Tradeways and the trading context available in your current workspace.
Oscar
Oscar is the AI assistant in Tradeways. Open the Oscar workspace from the icon rail for a full conversation view. The workspace uses the same chat as the Oscar side panel.
Start a conversation
Enter a question in the message field. Oscar can answer questions about Tradeways. Oscar can also use the trading context that the current page makes available.
Oscar answers for the account scope you have selected. With All accounts selected, it reads trades across every account you own, and it states the account and period it used. Ask for one account by name to narrow it.
Use the Oscar panel when you want to keep the current page visible. Use the full Oscar workspace when the conversation needs more room.
Attach a trade
Select Attach trade in the message field to add a trade to your question. The picker shows recent trades from the current account scope and lets you search by symbol. If All accounts is selected, results include the account name so you can distinguish matching trades.
An attached trade appears above the message field. Remove it there if you selected the wrong trade. Oscar receives the attached trade with your message.
Oscar reads your custom fields with your trades. Ask which combination of your checklist fields performs best, how trades with one field checked compare to the rest, or for trades filtered by a field value. The answer names the fields, the combinations, and the number of trades behind each number.
Trade P&L in Oscar's answers matches the trade view: net of commission and adjustments, in the account currency, and including running P&L for open trades with a broker mark. When a conversion rate is missing, Oscar receives no net P&L for that trade. A trade link in an answer opens the trade in the account scope you are viewing.
Conversations
The sidebar shows your conversation history in the Oscar workspace. Open a previous conversation to continue it. Select New chat to start without the messages from the open conversation. Use the conversation menu to rename or delete a conversation.
Oscar keeps an active answer running when you switch conversations, close the side panel, or move to another page. A pulsing dot identifies a conversation with an answer in progress. A static dot identifies a completed answer that you have not opened. Return to that conversation to read the answer.
Draft text is kept separately for each conversation while the app remains open. You can switch conversations and return without replacing another draft.
Select Stop response to stop an answer in progress. If the connection drops, Oscar reconnects automatically. When it cannot reconnect, the conversation shows Connection lost. Select Retry to reconnect and continue from the saved conversation.
Memory
Oscar can save durable notes from conversations with the account owner. Oscar uses these notes as coaching context in later conversations. You can ask Oscar to resolve or dismiss a note in the conversation.
Proactive summaries
Oscar can create a summary conversation after a completed trade import. This requires Oscar to be enabled, the Oscar usage disclaimer to be accepted, and at least one Oscar credit to remain. The summary does not spend a credit.
Review changes
Oscar can prepare changes to trading accounts, goals, tags, strategies, strategy rules, and trades. Each proposal shows the affected records and the proposed values. No change is applied until you select Approve. Select Reject to leave the records unchanged.
Review every proposal before you approve it. If a proposal expires or its target changes, ask Oscar to prepare the change again.
Activity
Open Activity in the Oscar workspace to review every record that Oscar created or changed. Each entry shows the affected records, the outcome, and the source conversation when one is available.
Goals, strategies, and trades can show an Edited by Oscar marker. Select the marker to open the matching activity entry.
Access and limits
You must enable Oscar and accept its usage notice before Oscar can reply. Open Settings, then select Oscar to change this setting.
Each question you send spends one Oscar credit. The chat shows how many credits remain and when they reset. Open Settings, then select Billing to compare the monthly credit limits for each plan.
When your credits are used up, you cannot send another question and Oscar does not create automatic import summaries until the credits reset or your plan changes.
If Oscar is disabled, the workspace shows a link to its settings. Your trading data and previous conversations remain unavailable to Oscar until you enable it again.
