Review
Systematically review trades against your strategy rules with compliance scoring, manual checklists, and focused trade detail.
Review
The review page at /review lets you systematically review trades linked to the active strategy. It combines strategy notes, rule compliance, and trade details in a focused three-column layout. You must have at least one strategy with rules defined before the review page shows meaningful data.

Layout
The page uses a three-column grid:
- Left column — the strategy notes editor for the active strategy. Use it to reference your playbook while reviewing.
- Center column — the compliance overview card and the paginated trade list.
- Right column — the full trade detail panel for the selected trade. Shows an empty state until you select a trade.
On smaller screens the columns stack vertically: notes on top, then compliance and trade list, then trade detail.
Filtering Trades
A filter bar sits above the three-column layout. It contains two groups of toggle chips.
Time Presets
| Preset | Range |
|---|---|
| Today | From midnight today (in your timezone) onward |
| This Week | From Monday of the current week onward |
| Last Week | Monday to Sunday of the previous week |
| This Month | From the 1st of the current month onward |
| Last Month | 1st to last day of the previous month |
Ranges update live — if you leave the page open, they recalculate when the tab regains focus or every minute.
Review Status
- All — show every trade in the time range
- Unreviewed — only trades you have not yet marked as reviewed
- Reviewed — only trades you have already marked as reviewed
Both filter groups persist across sessions. When you return to the review page, your last selection is restored.
Compliance Overview
The card at the top of the center column shows an aggregate compliance score for the filtered trade set. Rules are grouped by category (Time & Session, Risk Management, Instruments, Performance, Manual Checks) with pass, fail, and N/A indicators for each rule.
The score recalculates whenever you change the time preset or review status filter. It reflects only the trades currently visible in the list, not all trades in the account.
If the active strategy has no rules defined, the card shows an empty state prompting you to add rules on the Strategies page.
Trade List
Below the compliance overview, a paginated list displays the trades matching your filters. Each row shows:
- Symbol — the instrument traded
- Direction badge — L (long, green) or S (short, red)
- Realized P&L — color-coded positive/negative
- Timestamp — close date if available, otherwise open date (visible on wider screens)
- Amber dot — appears on the left border if the trade has unchecked manual rules
- Reviewed status — a green checkmark and "Reviewed" label, or a gray circle and "Unreviewed" label
Click a trade row to select it. The selected row highlights with a primary-colored left border and expands inline to show the compliance detail (see below). Click the same row again to deselect it.
The list loads 50 trades at a time. If more trades match your filters, a Load more button appears at the bottom of the list.
Reviewing a Trade
Click a trade in the list to expand its inline compliance detail. The expanded section shows all rules for the active strategy, grouped by category.
- Manual rules have checkboxes. Click a checkbox to toggle the rule between checked (pass) and unchecked (fail). Changes save immediately.
- Auto rules display a pass (checkmark), fail (X), or N/A (dash) icon based on the automated evaluation. These cannot be toggled manually.
Each rule row shows the rule label and, for non-trade-scoped rules, a scope badge (e.g. daily, weekly).
At the bottom of the expanded section, a button lets you finalize your assessment:
- Mark as Reviewed — stamps the trade with a reviewed timestamp. The trade list row updates to show a green checkmark.
- Mark as Unreviewed — removes the reviewed timestamp so the trade appears unreviewed again.
All changes (manual rule toggles and reviewed status) appear instantly in the UI and are saved automatically.
Trade Detail Panel
When you select a trade, the right column shows its full data:
| Section | Content |
|---|---|
| Header | Symbol, direction badge, result badge (W/L/BE), close button, P&L |
| Key metrics | Average entry price, quantity, date, open time, close time, duration |
| Chart | Candlestick chart with trade entry/exit overlays |
| Images | Trade screenshots and annotated images (if any) |
| Executions | Read-only table of all executions with price, quantity, and time |
| Price levels | Take-profit and stop-loss levels |
This panel is read-only. To edit trade data, navigate to the Trade Detail page.
Mentor View
If a student has shared their account and strategies with you via Mentoring, you can access the review page in the context of that student's account. The page loads the student's strategies, notes, compliance data, and trades.
In mentor view:
- The strategy notes editor is read-only — you can read the student's playbook but not edit it.
- Manual rule checkboxes are disabled — you can see which rules the student has checked but cannot toggle them.
- The Mark as Reviewed button is hidden — only the student can mark their own trades as reviewed.
- The trade detail panel works the same as in your own account.
If the student has not shared any strategies, an empty state explains that no shared strategies are available.
