Navigation

Move between Tradeways workspaces, pages, accounts, and recent records.

Tradeways groups related work into workspaces. Use the icon rail to change workspace. Every rail icon carries a permanent caption, so no hover is needed to read it. Use the sidebar beside it to open a page in that workspace.

The sidebar starts with the account switcher, the Add Trades action, and the Oscar button. Below that, pages are listed in labeled groups. Some workspaces replace the normal page list with their own navigation. Journal shows its three views and the content of the active view. Mentoring shows relationships. Floor shows communities and channels. Settings shows its sections.

Your user menu sits at the bottom of the sidebar. It holds your plan, the online-status switch, Settings, and Sign out.

Some workspaces only appear when your account has the matching access. The Partner workspace is one example.

The Floor icon shows a badge with your unread message count. Floor also remembers where you were. Its rail icon returns you to the last community and channel you had open.

Below the workspaces the rail holds Docs, Updates, and Settings. Updates shows the latest release notes and carries a dot until you open it. Settings and your user menu stay available from every workspace.

Account context

The account switcher controls which trading data the page uses. It can show one account, a shared account, or All Accounts. All Accounts appears once you have at least two non-demo accounts. Tradeways keeps the selected account in the page address. You can open a copied link in the same account context.

When you change accounts, Tradeways keeps the current page where possible. A dashboard can have a different layout for each account. Tradeways opens that account's last active dashboard after a switch.

Shared accounts are read-only. The account switcher shows the Read-only label and the account owner. Journal pages only appear when the owner shared journal access. Strategies and Review only appear when the owner shared strategy access.

Floor hides the account switcher and the Add Trades action. Its pages are not scoped to a trading account.

The Cockpit sidebar shows recent trades below Trades. Open trades show an open marker instead of a P&L value. Open Settings, then select Appearance to choose how many recent trades appear. The default is five.

Compact screens

Below 1280 pixels the sidebar is closed. The toolbar toggle opens it as a sheet, and the rail stays in place. Below 768 pixels the rail moves into the same sheet. Select a destination to close the sheet. Your selected workspace and account do not change.

On a wide screen the toolbar toggle collapses and expands the sidebar. The keyboard shortcut is Cmd+B on macOS and Ctrl+B elsewhere.
