Widgets

Complete reference of all dashboard widget types, the widget picker, presets, and per-widget settings.

Widgets

Tradeways provides 25+ configurable widgets that you can place on any dashboard. Widgets range from single-number KPI cards to full-width charts and tables. Each widget can carry its own title, filter, and type-specific settings.

Widget Picker

In edit mode, click Add Widget to open the widget picker sheet. The picker is organized into several sections:

Widget picker sheet with Smart Insights, widgets, and presets
Widget picker sheet with Smart Insights, widgets, and presets

Smart Insights

At the top, Tradeways analyzes your trade data and suggests widgets tailored to your account — for example, a P&L card filtered to your best-performing symbol or a chart highlighting your strongest day of the week. These suggestions update automatically as your data changes.

Full Widget List

All available widget types are listed with an icon, name, and short description. Click any widget to add it to the dashboard. Hover over a widget to see a live preview on the left side of the sheet.

Quick Add Presets

Pre-configured widgets organized into five categories:

CategoryExamples
DirectionalLong P&L, Short Win Rate, Long Equity — any KPI or chart scoped to a single direction
Time PeriodToday P&L, This Week Win Rate, Last 30d Equity — widgets filtered to a date range
Result-BasedWinners Equity, Losers P&L, Avg Winner/Loser — widgets filtered by trade outcome
Asset ClassFutures P&L, Crypto Win Rate, Stocks P&L — widgets filtered to a specific instrument type
AnalysisDistribution by Direction/Symbol/Asset Class, Time of Day, Cumulative Trades, Monthly Heatmap

Presets add the widget with a pre-filled title and filter so you can build focused dashboards quickly.

Dynamic Entries

Below the presets, the picker shows entries generated from your account data:

  • Your Symbols — one P&L card per traded symbol (e.g., "ES P&L", "NQ P&L")
  • Your Asset Classes — one P&L card per asset class (shown when you trade 2+ classes)
  • Your Tags — one P&L card per tag defined on the account

Use the search bar at the top of the picker to filter across all sections by name.

Suggest a Widget

At the bottom of the picker, a text field lets you suggest a new widget type. Suggestions go directly to the Tradeways team.

Filter Tab

Each widget can carry its own trade filter independent of the global dashboard filter. The filter tab offers the same dimensions as the global filter: date range, status, side, result, instruments, symbols, tags, entry price, position size, weekdays, and time of day.

SettingDescription
Filter ModeReplace — widget filter fully replaces the global filter. Layer — widget fields override per-dimension, unset fields fall through from the global filter.
FilterConfigure any combination of the available filter dimensions for this widget.

Page Widgets

In addition to the fully customizable dashboard, page widgets can be pinned above the main content on Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Yearly, Trades, Lifetime, Review, and Strategies. This keeps the widget strip aligned with the workflow of the page instead of forcing a separate dashboard visit.

Default Layout

Each supported page has its own desktop-first default composition. Some pages stay KPI-heavy, while others start with charts or multi-strategy lists. All defaults still come from the same widget catalog described on this page.

Customization

  • Click Edit Widgets in the toolbar to enter edit mode, where you can add, remove, reorder, and resize widgets.
  • Click Collapse to hide the widget area, or Expand to show it again. The collapsed state is remembered per page.
  • Click Reset to restore the default widget layout for the page.

Per-Page, Per-Account Layouts

Each page stores its own widget layout independently. Switching trading accounts also switches the widget configuration, so you can have different KPIs for different accounts.
